What amenities does aspyre feature? Please view our extensive list of amenities by clicking why aspyre under the learn tab.

How can I make my rent payment? We accept ACH drafts, credit cards, checks and cashiers checks. We do not accept cash. If there is a charge associated with any of these payment forms, the cost will be passed along to the resident. All late payments must be made by ACH, credit card or cashiers checks.
When is the rent payment due? Rent is due the 1st of every month.
When is rent late? Rent is considered late as of 5:00pm on the 5th of each month.
Do you send me a bill every month? No, bills are not sent to residents each month.
Will you accept partial payment? No, we do not accept partial payment.

I hear there are courtyards! What do they look like? There will be five unique courtyards, each heavily landscaped and designed to be a beautiful, fun and relaxing environment:
- A large resort-style pool courtyard featuring a beach, plenty of seating, tables, two gas grills, a trellis, and landscaped for shade
- A lap pool courtyard with gas grills and seating areas
- A sports/activity courtyard for bocce ball, horseshoes, etc., including a hangout/game area, fountain, gas grill, and seating
- A four-sided outdoor fireplace courtyard with quiet study areas and swings
- A Zen courtyard with a putting green, gardens and more swings
How big are the courtyards? Each courtyard is around 12,000 square feet.
Are pets allowed in the courtyards? No – in order to keep the courtyards a clean and nice environment, we are unable to allow pets in those areas. However, there is a dog park where pets will be allowed and welcomed.

When will guarantors be required? All students will require a guarantor. We will also require a guarantor if an individual’s monthly gross income does not exceed 2 times the monthly rent.
What paperwork is required with a guarantor? The guarantor will need to sign the application, lease, and guaranty agreement.

Where is the leasing office? The leasing office is located on the property about 40 yards from the intersection of Assembly and Whaley streets facing Assembly (roughly across the street from the Addams Bookstore and beside the church).
Can I fill out an application online? You can access the online application by clicking the "Lease" tab.

Where is aspyre located? aspyre is VERY conveniently located at the intersection of Assembly and Whaley. The address is 1000 Whaley St. Columbia, SC 29201.
What is located around the apartment complex? There are many popular areas located within one mile of aspyre. For a complete list and area map, please click on location under the learn tab.
How do I get to the property? By clicking on location under the Learn tab, you will find a link to Google maps and directions to aspyre.

When is the move-in date? Apartments will be ready for lease starting in June 2009.

Where do I park? There is a six-story parking deck in the center of the building – which means that you will be able to park on the floor that you live on. You will also be able to avoid getting into your car in the rain and will prevent sun damage to your car.
Can I leave my car in the deck and walk to class/campus/work? Yes! aspyre is conveniently located and is an easy walking distance from USC. You will not have to pay for parking on campus. Please view the other areas you are in walking distance of by clicking on the location button under the learn browser.
Is the parking deck gated? Yes, the parking deck is gated and for residents only.
Where do guests park? Guests can park in a designated visitors section in the gated parking deck.

Are pets allowed? Yes. Permitted pets include cats, dogs weighing no more than 60 pounds at maturity, caged birds, and fish in tanks that are no larger than 20 gallons. No other animals are permitted.
Where do I walk my dog? There is a dog park with doggie stations.
What is the fee for having a pet? The pet fee is $325 per pet.

Am I allowed to request a specific unit? Yes, you can list your first three preferences and we will do our best to place you in the unit of your choice.
Am I able to reserve a unit? No, we are unable to reserve as our units are given out on a first come, first serve basis. If there is a specific unit or courtyard you would like to be around, you’d better act fast!

What security is provided? All entries to the building are controlled access by utilizing key card entry points and a gated parking deck for residents and visitors. There will also be roving overnight courtesy personnel around the complex. Additionally, CCTV cameras with recording capabilities will be installed throughout the complex.

How many units are available? There are 400 units at aspyre.
How many bedrooms do most units have? aspyre offers efficiency/studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom units. Most units are 2 bedroom roommate style plans.
What is the flooring? The entry area and kitchen will have plank flooring. All bathrooms feature ceramic tile. The living room and bedrooms will be carpeted.
Is there a washer and dryer in every unit? Yes! Each unit has its own washer and dryer.
Do you have any wheelchair accessible units? Yes, the complex contains 28 wheelchair accessible units.
Will I have my own bathroom? Each bedroom has its own bathroom.
Are appliances provided? Yes, black kitchen appliances are provided which includes a refrigerator, microwave, stove, and oven.
Do units have balconies? Yes, almost all units have balconies.
Will I have a pantry in the kitchen? Yes, all units include a pantry.

Are any utilities included in the rent? Yes! Wireless internet, water, and sewer are included in the rent payment.
What if my computer is not wireless or I do not have a wireless card? We will provide you with a free wireless card!
